If your child has always wanted either a fantasy-themed party or one that features extra attractions, you may have decided to rent a bounce castle for the occasion. While the rental company will set up the inflatable castle, you still have a say in where it will be placed, especially if you have a large property or are hosting the event at a local park.
However, there are still a few things that you will need to consider when choosing a spot. After you learn from the rental service the dimensions of the castle, use the tips below to help you with the decision-making process.
1. Check the Area for Any Utility Lines
One thing you will need to do when planning the location of the bounce castle is to check the area for any utility lines. Above the castle, you need to make sure that there are no power telephone lines that may hit the top of the inflatable.
Below the castle and under the ground, you need to have an idea of where any water and gas lines are located. Since the inflatable will be staked into the ground, there should be enough clearance to avoid hitting and breaking one of these lines.
2. Look at Available Power Sources
Another thing that you will need to consider when deciding where to have the bounce castle is the location of any available power sources. To keep the castle inflated, the rental service will need to set up several blowers that will continuously run for the duration of the party.
Ideally, you should have a couple of outdoor power outlets nearby, whether they are on the outside of your house or at a pavilion if the party will be held at the park. However, if they are not close, you may need to either provide heavy-duty extension cords or ask the service to bring them.
Another option would be to have a generator on hand, especially if there are no outlets close by. If you do not have one available, speak with the rental service to see if they can provide one.
Once you know where the utility lines run and how the blowers for the castle will be powered, you can narrow down the location considerably.
